Gather online for an experiential introduction to Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Learn the foundations of mindfulness, how to find moments for everyday mindfulness, and participate in guided meditations and group discussion. Improve attention and awareness and notice when you’re operating on autopilot. This session is for clinicians at any level, including those still in school.
Workshop Objectives:
By the conclusion of the class participants will be able to:
- Teach clients the basic definitions of mindfulness and attention and how to access/expand these practices in their everyday life.
- Lead clients in short mindful practices using a variety of anchors.
- Help clients to track their body sensations, emotions, and thoughts.
- Work with clients using mindfulness from a trauma-focused lens.
