The Impact of Social Justice Issues on our work as therapists.

This will be a discussion of impressions from reading two books -- The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander and Caste by Isabelle Wilkerson -- and some experiences and observations from clinical work in the midst of multiple areas of social unrest.

    1. What have you been reading or doing since the George Floyd murder? Since other social justice crises have occurred?
    2. How have recent social justice issues been impacting your clinical practice? 
    3. How are you being affected personally? Are these things you can discuss with family and friends?
    4. What about the upcoming election? How is the current political climate affecting your clinical practice?
