DESCRIPTION:

This program is geared toward clinicians interested in expanding their practices to include clients with substance use disorders, whether they work in clinics, hospitals, or private practice. Attendees will learn the DSM 5 diagnostic criteria and the effects of the 10 classes of substances. Upon completing the workshop, attendees will understand the continuum of treatment modalities and be able to assess clients for appropriate referrals. Case studies and group activities will be included.
