COURSE OBJECTIVES: By the conclusion of the class, participants should be able to:

1. Understand racism in the United States from a broad perspective.
   
2. Define White Privilege and its impact on people of color in the United States.
   
3. Identify how structural racism may have a part in their work.
   
4. Take the information and experience of this workshop to further reflect upon attitudes and experiences about their personal race and identity.
   

COURSE DESCRIPTION/OVERVIEW/TARGET AUDIENCE:

This workshop is intended for clinicians at all levels. This course will move from a macro to a micro investigation about race and its effect on social work professionals and the profession's objectives of inclusion and equality of opportunity to participate in life. Participants will be invited to consider and share, as appropriate, their own attitudes and experiences.
