A Bagels and Coffee Event
Affordable and Accessible Health Care: Where We Are, How We Got Here, and What Now?

Presentation by: Margot Aronson, LICSW | Deputy Director of Policy and Practice for the Clinical Social Work Association, Past President and Past Director of Legislation and Advocacy of GWSCSW

Description: Enjoy some good food, stimulating conversation and networking as we join Margot to discuss:

  1. How health insurance got started in the USA
  2. The coverage problems that the ACA was designed to address
  3. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 - what went right, what went wrong
  4. The last 8 years and the last 5 months; how the current proposal will affect Clinical Social Workers and our clients
  5. What Clinical Social Workers can do to influence the process
This is a reprise of a very well received presentation Margot gave at a forum focused on community/police relations, immigration policy and realities, and the future of affordable and accessible healthcare. We are honored she has offered to share this information with our membership!

Registration: Registration is free of charge, but needed by June 14 to reserve your space

CEU Cost: Fee for those wanting 2 CEUs-$30.00
